Literature Festival to be held in Nava Raipur from January 23 to 25
Raipur (thestates.news) |The state government has constituted an advisory committee for the Raipur Literature Festival, scheduled to take place in Nava Raipur from January 23, 2026. The committee comprises nine members. The members include Shri Anant Vijay, Dr Sushil Trivedi, Shri Satish Kumar Panda, Smt. Jaymati Kashyap, Shri Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Shri Shashank Sharma, Shri Pankaj Kumar Jha and Shri Vivek Acharya. The committee will offer “special guidance for the successful and impactful organisation” of the Raipur Literature Festival and assist organisers in selecting authors and finalising thematic sessions. Dr Ravi Mittal, Commissioner of the Directorate of Public Relations, will serve as the Member Secretary.
Notably, the Raipur Literature Festival will be held in Nava Raipur from January 23 to 25, marking the beginning of the new year with a significant cultural celebration that will host more than 100 distinguished writers from across the country. The festival was envisioned by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on the occasion of the state’s silver jubilee year. Based on the Chief Minister’s “concept and cultural vision”, a comprehensive action plan for the event has been prepared within just two months.
The three-day festival will be organised near the Tribal Museum on January 23, 24 and 25, 2026. A total of 11 sessions will be held, including five parallel sessions, four collective sessions and three interactive dialogue sessions. These will provide a platform for “direct conversation and exchange of ideas” between authors and participants, making the festival an intellectual and literary landmark for the state.
