Take necessary measures to pace up the process of registry
Concession of 2% on registry fee for residential houses to remain as it is
Raipur ( thestates.news) Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has given instructions to simplify and accelerate the process of land and house registry. He directed the officials to ensure that people should not have to wait for days together to get the registry done, rather arrangements should be made to complete the process of registry within an hour. He also gave instructions to provide facilities such as seating arrangement, shade and drinking water facilities in all the registry offices. Chief Minister gave instruction to continue providing 2% concession on registry fee of residential houses, as per the provision of State Government.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was reviewing the works of Commercial tax (Registry), Revenue and Calamity Management Department in a meeting at his residence office. The meeting was attended by Revenue and Calamity Management Minister Mr. Jaisingh Agrawal, Urban Administration Minister Dr Shivkumar Daharia, Chief Secretary Mr. RP Mandal, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subrat Sahu, Secretary Revenue Ms Reeta Shandily, Secretary Registry Commercial Tax Mrs. P Sangeetha, Inspector General Stamp and Registry Mr. Dharmesh Sahu, Director Land Record Mr. Ramesh Sharma and Deputy Secretary Chief Minister’s Secretariat Ms Saumya Chaurasiya and other officers were present.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has directed the officials of Registry Department to actively resolve the problems arising in the process of document registry. He took information from the officials about other problems including vendors. He gave instructions to ensure that no seller or buyer faces any inconvenience at Registry Office. Revenue Minister Mr. Jaisingh Agrawal informed that last year, the department had collected revenue worth Rs 1640 crore, against the target of Rs 1550 crore. Revenue collection is 5% more than the given target. He informed that due to lockdown for prevention of corona virus infection, registry work got affected causing loss of nearly Rs 155 crore. While giving powerpoint presentation in the meeting, Secretary Mrs. P Sangeetha informed that as the ban on registry of small plots was lifted, nearly 2 lakh 19 thousand 758 documents were registered in the last month of the financial year despite the lockdown for prevention of COVID-19 pandemic, which is 9.19% more than the previous fiscal year. Works related to concession provided on stamp duty for setting up industry, transfer of immovable assets to women and implementation of Public Service Guarantee Act were also reviewed.
It was informed in the meeting that to solve the network issue in registry office, network facility from another telecom company, besides BSNL, has been provided. Lease line capacity of central server installed in SDC CHiPS has been increased to 115 MBPS. Secretary P Sangheetha gave powerpoint presentation on proposed action plan of installing the software developed under NGDRS Scheme for pre-registration system, online screening of documents and online payment.
