Chhattisgarh Government’s ambitious scheme ‘Rajiv
Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana’ was launched on Thursday to provide cash
assistance to the farmers in the state.
The yojana was launched on martyrdom day of former PM
Bharat Ratna late Rajiv Gandhi by Congress President Sonia Gandhi and her son
Rahul Gandhi through video-conferencing.
First installment of Rs 1,500 crore has been
transferred to bank accounts of the farmers out of total Rs 5,750 crore with
