Raipur (thestates.news) | Public trust in Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai continues to climb, as reflected in the latest Mood of the Nation (MOTN) Survey conducted by India Today–C Voter. In the August 2025 survey, 41.9% of respondents in his home state rated his performance as satisfactory, up from 39% in February 2025. This marks a significant 2.9 percentage point rise in just six months, placing him second among chief ministers of large states.
During the Sushasan Tihar (Good Governance Festival), CM Sai travelled extensively across the state, directly hearing people’s grievances and ensuring quick redressal through grievance-redressal camps. Fulfilment of most of the Centre’s “Modi Ki Guarantee” commitments—especially Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mahatari Vandan, and Krishak Unnati Yojana—further strengthened the sense of confidence and satisfaction among the poor, women, and farmers. Transparent recruitment processes, job creation for youth, and new opportunities for investment and business injected fresh optimism across the state.
CM Sai’s simple, affable, and honest persona, combined with his ability to take quick decisions, has set him apart in the public eye. Reforms in multiple sectors have consolidated public faith in governance and positioned him as one of the “better performing chief ministers” in the country.
The survey results underline that Chhattisgarh’s welfare programmes are reaching the people effectively. Initiatives such as the Mahatari Vandan scheme empowering women economically, agriculture schemes providing relief to farmers, skill development and employment programmes for the youth, and welfare measures for poor families have significantly contributed to public satisfaction.
This period also witnessed CM Sai’s high-profile investment promotion tours to Japan and South Korea. The Chhattisgarh Investor Connect programme and substantive engagements with international companies laid the foundation for the state’s emergence on the global investment map. Agreements in food processing, electronics, and industrial collaboration are seen as strengthening public confidence in a prosperous future.
Infrastructure development has also been given decisive momentum. Projects in roads, bridges, irrigation, and power have been fast-tracked, while railway and industry-linked infrastructure has been prioritised. The Chief Minister personally visits districts, assessing local needs and challenges and directing immediate administrative action—ensuring citizens feel directly connected with governance.
In the Silver Jubilee year of statehood, cultural and social events such as the Rajat Jayanti Mahotsav, Teeja-Pora Mahotsav, and Swachhata Sangam witnessed CM Sai’s active participation, deepening his emotional connect with the people. These events signalled that the government values not only policies and schemes but also culture, tradition, and social ethos.
The MOTN survey also highlights that people of Chhattisgarh view CM Sai’s leadership as a guarantee of development and stability. With a 41.9% satisfaction rate—virtually one in two citizens—and a second-place ranking among large states, Chhattisgarh is emerging as a strong and rising presence on the national stage.
Reacting to the survey, CM Sai said the achievement was a result of people’s trust and cooperation. He assured farmers, workers, women, and youth that the government would continue to work with full dedication and honesty to fulfil their aspirations and dreams. He expressed confidence that Chhattisgarh would set new benchmarks in development and good governance in the coming times.
