Mumbai, (the states. news) The BSE Sensex remained
strong for the fourth straight session on Tuesday, as it edged up by 327 pts at
39,301.57 in opening session following gains in Realty, Finance, Auto and
Consumer Discretionary Goods and services stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too rose by 95 pts to 11,598.35.
The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 39,374.57 and 39,191.10 pts
respectively.
The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 11,615.30 and 11,564.30
respectively.
The Mid Cap moved up by 0.68 pc and Small Cap by 0.58 pc.
In 30 scrips, 24 advanced, 5 declined and one remained unchanged.
The gainers were HDFC by 5.80 pc to Rs 1888.95, M& M by 3.24 pc to Rs
626.65, Asian Paints by 2.58 pc to Rs 2079.35, HDFC Bank by 1.78 pc to Rs 1134
and IndusInd Bank by 1.31 pc to Rs 609.65.
The losers were TCS by 1.29 pc to Rs 2672, Infosys by 0.92 pc to Rs 1038.55,
Sun Pharma by 0.59 pc to Rs 520.05 and NTPC by 0.53 pc to Rs 83.90. (uni)
