Mumbai (#thestates.news) The BSE Sensex on
Thursday jumped by 408.68 pts at 36,737.69 on the strength of Metal, Bankex,
Finance, Energy and Materials stocks amid positive Asian Market.
The market also got a support after Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India was
seeing green shoots of economic recovery. “Story of global revival will
have India playing a leading role,” he said at the India Global Week Summit.
The nifty of national stock exchange too moved up by 107.70 pts to 10,813.45.
The nifty registered days high and low at 10,836.85 and 10,733 points
respectively.
Tumbling down by 345 pts on Wednesday, the sensex opened higher by 121 pts to
36,450.69. It rallied by 477 pts to 36,806.30 days high, before closing at
36,737.69, advancing by 408.68 pts from its last close.
It registered days low at 36,422.30.
The sectoral indices like Metal, Bankex, Finance, Energy and Materials lifted
the market.
In scrips, Bajaj Finance, SBI, Tata Steel, HDFC and Bajaj Finserv too boosted
the same, broker informed.
The Mid cap rose by 0.07 pc and Small Cap too by 0.49 pc.
