Mumbai, (thestates.news) | The BSE Sensex on Friday fell 230.05 pts to settle at 81,381.36 on profit booking by local operators amid mixed trend in Asian Market. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) eased 34.20 pts at 24,964.25. The Sensex opened negative at 81,478.49, sliding 133 pts. During the day, it was tanked 307 pts at 81,304.15, days low, before closing at 81,381.36, down 230.05 pts from its previous close. The NSE registered days high and low at 25,028.65 and 24,920.05 pts respectively.
The stocks that dragged the market were Realty by 0.74 pc followed by Utilities by 0.68 pc, Auto by 0.45 pc and Power by 0.38 pc. The Mid cap rose 0.44 pc and Small cap by 0.44 pc. In 30 scrips, 16 advanced, 13 declined while one remained unchanged.
The losers were TCS by 1.93 pc to Rs 4147, M& M by 1.83 pc to Rs 3135, ICICI Bank by 1.56 pc to Rs 1223.85, Powergrid by 1.18 pc to Rs 330.40 and Maruti Suzuki by 1.13 pc to Rs 12,796.65. The gainers were HCL technologies by 1.70 pc to Rs 1840.75, Tech Mahindra by 1.42 pc to Rs 1643.30, JSW Steel by 1.02 pc to Rs 1017.10 and Hind Unilever by 0.94 pc to Rs 2780. (UNI)
