Hyderabad,(Thestates.news) |Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood has been bestowed with the esteemed Humanitarian Award in recognition of his unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes. The accolade was presented during the grand finale of the Miss World 2024 pageant in Hyderabad. Known for his exemplary compassion and commitment to public welfare, Sood became a household name during the COVID-19 pandemic for stepping in when systems failed.
Through his philanthrophic organisation, the Sood Charity Foundation, he facilitated transportation for migrant workers, provided critical medical aid and supported underprivileged students across India. He received the accolade from celebrated actor Rana Daggubati.
Sood also served as a juror at this year’s Miss World competition. In a significant development, ‘Miss World Organsation’ has announced a partnership with the Sood Charity Foundation to launch a breast cancer awareness.
