Raipur (thestates.news)| The State GST Department Ambikapur conducted an investigation on May 29 at the business place of M/s Bansal Trading Corporation, Ambikapur. According to the GST portal operated by the Government of India, their risk score was 10, which means that the firm is involved in tax evasion. When the investigation team reached the spot, it was seen that no accounting book related to the business or any software such as Tally was found maintained at their business place, which made the possibility of tax evasion even stronger. Further investigation found that the total turnover from the year 2017-18 to the year 2024-25 is more than Rs. 158 crores but the cash payment of tax on it has been made zero.
