Raipur (thestates.news) | The Sub Junior Boys Inter District State Football Championship 2025-26 commenced on 10th October 2025 under the CSR initiative, marking a significant step in promoting youth football in Chhattisgarh. The four-day championship, running from 10th to 13th October 2025, was inaugurated by Shri Vijay Krishna Pandey, Executive Director and Head of Project, NTPC Sipat.
A total of 54 participants representing three districts—Durg, Raipur, and Narayanpur—are competing in the championship. This initiative aims to identify and nurture young football talent in the state.

Following the championship, a coaching camp will be conducted from 14th to 23rd October 2025, where 30 selected players will receive comprehensive support, including football kits, lodging, food, and other program-related expenses, fully sponsored by NTPC Sipat under its CSR initiative. These selected players will have the opportunity to represent Chhattisgarh at the national level.
NTPC Sipat has been sponsoring this initiative under its CSR every year since 2016, in association with the Chhattisgarh Football Association, to ensure the holistic development of football players in the state. Every year, three categories—Sub Junior Boys, Junior Boys, and Senior Men—undergo this championship and coaching program, entirely supported by NTPC. While the Junior Boys category has already been conducted this year, the Sub Junior Boys championship has now officially begun, continuing the legacy of fostering sports talent in Chhattisgarh.
