Poultry farm sanitization work continues
Raipur (thestates.news) | A team of expert doctors from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from Delhi and AIIMS Raipur reached Raigarh to prevent bird flu infection in Raigarh district. The teams inspected the infected poultry farm and the surrounding infected zone and reviewed the process of infection control. After this, further strategy was discussed with Collector Shri Kartikeya Goyal under the SOP of the Government of India.
The experts took stock of the poultry farm sanitization work and also conducted random door-to-door checks. Joint Commissioner of Animal Husbandry Department Dr. HR Khanna praised the quick steps taken by the Raigarh administration and said that the rapid destruction of infected poultry, eggs and chicks was an effective strategy. He directed that flame guns and disinfectants be used to quickly sanitize the poultry farm. On this, Collector Mr. Goyal directed the Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry Department to complete the sanitization process soon with adequate manpower.
