New Delhi, (the states. news) The Delhi High Court on
Tuesday clarified that it has never asked the Delhi government to make 5-star
Covid arrangements for its Judges and officials and ordered the government to
take corrective steps in terms of the order or else the court will quash it.
“This is very misleading, High Court has not made any such request and no
communication was made in this regard, ” a division Bench of Justice Vipin
Sanghi and Rekha Palli said as quoted by LiveLaw.
The Delhi government has reserved 100 rooms in the luxurious Ashoka Hotel in
central Delhi for judges and other court staff for availing Covid facilities.
The order drew criticism from the media and other organisations and people as
it came at a time when common man in the national capital is running pillar to
post for a Covid bed. (uni) (media saheb.com)
