Raipur, (the states. news) Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) state president Amit Jogi said that 80% of ICU beds, ventilators and critical care doctors in Chhattisgarh are in private hospitals. Only 20% people can be treated with government hospitals. The government has not taken any concrete steps in the last 3 months to expand its very limited capacity.
Amit Jogi said that the government has issued orders to private hospitals to treat people at less than half the actual cost of treatment, which means that from today, they have treated poor and uninsured patients. They have closed their doors and many patients have been forced to discharge in the state of illness itself. Amit Jogi asked with great grief that the government should tell where these people will go now.
Mr. Jogi said that in order to control the explosive situation of the epidemic, the government should withdraw its order and declare itself to bear the entire cost (in advance) of treatment of all ration card holders COVID-19 patients in private hospitals. Because the reality is that it is impossible to win the battle of Universal Health Care and Corona without the participation of private hospitals in Chhattisgarh.
