Raipur, (#the states.news) Keeping in view the increasing transition of Corona this year in the world famous Bastar Dussehra, it has been decided to operate Phoolrath in the Gol Bazaar of Jagdalpur from 18 to 23 October 2020 with social distance. People from 32 villages of Jagdalpur tehsil and 4 villages of Tokapal tehsil come for permanent operation to draw a chariot for circumambulation. About 400 pilgrims from 36 villages will participate in the chariot operation. The goal is to bring 15 people from each village.
A team consisting of Patwari, Gram Panchayat Secretary and Kotwar of the respective villages has been constituted to identify the young devotees for the chariot operation. On 14 October 2020, by 4.00 pm, for the chariot operation, the young devotees will be informed and inform the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Jagdalpur. Chariot operators will be kept at home isolation for two days. This year, the chariot operators will be given village-wise consideration and a pass will be supplied. The person possessing the same will participate in chariot operations every day. The person contemplated will not be allowed to go to his home residence within the time period of the chariot. It will be mandatory for them to stay in the designated residential premises. They will be provided with food from the committee.
