Yogi government’s big action on CAA violence, 25 members of PFI arrested.

Lucknow, ( thestates.news) |: Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested 25 members of the Popular Front of India (PFI). This arrest has been made from different parts of the state. They have been arrested for their involvement in criminal activities. The name of the extremist Islamic organization Popular Front of India (PFI) is in discussion these days.

The name of the PFI came to prominence in the violence erupted in Uttar Pradesh against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The PFI began in 2006 as the front organization of the National Development Front (PDF) in Kerala.

Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government sent a letter to the Union Home Ministry to ban the Popular Front of India (PFI). This plea was accepted by the Home Ministry.

Uttar Pradesh Home Department sent a proposal to ban PFI from the Union Home Ministry. In this case, the Union Home Ministry received inputs from intelligence agencies and NIA. Along with this, the Home Ministry will review the activities related to PFI in the last few months.

 The Uttar Pradesh Police has informed the Ministry of Home Affairs the alleged nexus between PFI members and their terrorist organizations ii whose dubious role during violent protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in recent times has been established beyond doubt (HS)
