Raipur / Bijapur, (thestates.news)| Three Naxalites were killed in an encounter with DRG, STF and Central Reserve Police Force personnel in Pomra forest under Miratur police station area of Bijapur district on Saturday morning in Chhattisgarh. Bijapur Superintendent of Police Anjaneya Varshney has confirmed this.
He said that weapons have also been recovered from the spot, the killed Naxalites could not be identified. According to the Superintendent of Police, the security forces personnel had gone out on anti-Naxal operation on Friday evening. The police got information that DVCM Mohan Kadti, DVCM Sumitra, Matwara LOS Commander Ramesh and 30-40 Maoists are present in Pomara forest. A raid was conducted in the forest at around 7:30 am on Saturday, after about half an hour the encounter had begun.(H.S):
