Mumbai (Thestates.news), Stating that the ‘can do ‘ spirit of 1.4 billion Indians has been ignited, the King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck expressed confidence that India will soon become a 5 trillion dollar 3rd largest economy in the world. The King of Bhutan was speaking to Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the State reception accorded to him by the Governor at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Tue (7 Nov.) King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck said he is witnessing a new India where all Indians believe that India can achieve anything. The King told the Governor that during a meeting in Japan, the chairman of Mitsubishi, told him that the company had three priorities : Artificial Intelligence, Environmental and Social Governance and India.
King Jigme Khesar Namgyel told the Governor that Ladakh became a popular tourist destination after the film ‘3 Idiots’ was shot there. He expressed the hope that good films will be shot in Bhutan as well. The King introduced his delegation to the Governor and Deputy Chief Minister.
Welcoming the King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck to Maharashtra, Governor Ramesh Bais said the relations between Maharashtra and Bhutan are rooted in history, shared cultural heritage
