Raipur (thestates.news) | Donating blood not only saves lives but also has several health benefits for the donor. To encourage blood donation Dean of Students’ Welfare of Kalinga University in association with Good Hope Blood Centre successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp at Medical
Centre of Kalinga University Campus.

Blood Donation Camp was inaugurated by the Director General of Kalinga University, Dr Byju John by cutting ribbon in presence of Lt. Vibha Chandrakar, In-charge Dean of Students’ Welfare, Dr. A Vijayanand Chief Proctor, Dr. Nuresh Khute, Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs cum Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr Ruchi Chandrakar, Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs cum Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering Department, Mr. Sheikh Abdul Kadir, Deputy Dean of Students’ Welfare, Ms. Nikita Joshi, Assistant Dean of Students’ Welfare, Ms. Suman Chouhan Staff Nurse, Ms. Sneha Mahto and others.

Lt. Vibha Chandrakar, Dr. A Vijayanand and their team conducted the Blood donation camp successfully. A total of 65 units of blood were donated by the enthusiastic faculties
and students of Kalinga University during the day-long camp for a good cause to save the life of needy persons.
Team of Good Hope Blood Centre was comprised of Dr DV Baghel, Medical Officer, Lab-Technicians Mr. Hitesh Chandrakar, Mr. Udho Ram Parker, Mr. Ram Narayan Sahu, Mrs. Shartila Sahu, Ms. Khushboo Sahu, Dr. Dhananjay Sahu and Mr. Yogesh Sinha.
After the blood donation, all the donors were given refreshments, gifts and certificate of
participation. The certificate will help as a privilege card which will help them in getting
blood whenever they are in need. Students of Kalinga University shared their experience
as for some students it was for the first time that they donated blood. Mementoes were presented by Lt. Vibha Chandrakar and Dr. A Vijayanand to Dr. DV Baghel and Mr. Hitesh Chandrakar.
