CM launches Adi Seva Pakhwada, transfers ₹6.2 crore scholarship and meal aid to 8,370 students
Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday launched the Adi Seva Pakhwada at the Prayas Residential School, Saddu, Raipur. He said the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan would play a historic role in ushering ground-level change in tribal villages. Extending greetings on behalf of the state’s three crore citizens, CM Sai wished Prime Minister Modi a long and healthy life. The programme was attended by Scheduled Caste Development Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb, MLA Motilal Sahu and several public representatives.
The Chief Minister said that under the campaign, a Tribal Vision Document 2030 will be prepared for every tribal village of the state, which will serve as a long-term roadmap for development. These will be endorsed in Gram Sabhas on October 2. Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the campaign nationwide today from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. CM Sai said the objective of the Adi Karmayogi campaign is to build leadership capacity in tribal villages. Volunteers will be identified who hold a vision for village development and can implement it at the grassroots. A target has been set to prepare 20 lakh volunteers across the country, of which 1.33 lakh will be mobilised in 6,650 villages of Chhattisgarh. He informed that Adi Seva Kendras have also been established, where villagers can access government services and register their grievances.
