Announces Rs 50 lakh for community hall and Rs 20 lakh for CC road construction in Paragaon
Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday attended the two-day annual convention of the Chandranahu Kurmi Kshatriya community held at Paragaon in Raipur district. Addressing the gathering, he said that when a society takes responsibility for the education of its children, the younger generation moves forward with greater confidence.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister announced Rs 50 lakh for the construction of a community hall for the society and approved Rs 20 lakh for the construction of a CC road in Paragaon.
Extending greetings to women on International Women’s Day, Sai said the Mahtari Vandan Yojana has completed two years and the 25th instalment has been transferred to the accounts of around 70 lakh women in the state. He said the scheme is an important step towards women’s economic empowerment.
The Chief Minister said the Chandranahu Kurmi Kshatriya community has a proud history and has produced many talented personalities for the state and the country. Appreciating the community’s efforts in the field of education, he said more than 2,000 students are currently receiving educational opportunities through initiatives run by the society.
