KALINGA UNIVERSITY STUDENT WINS BRONZE AT AIU ALL INDIA INTER-UNIVERSITY PENCAK SILAT CHAMPIONSHIP 2025–26

Raipur (thestates.news) | Kalinga University proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of Ms. Saniya Parveen, a second-year BCS (AIML & CS) student, who brought laurels to the University by securing a Bronze Medal at the prestigious AIU All India Inter-University Pencak Silat Championship 2025–26.

The championship was held from 14th to 17th March 2026 and was organized by Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. The event witnessed the participation of talented martial artists representing various universities across India.

Ms. Saniya competed in the Below 60 kg weight category under the Tanding (sparring) division, which demands exceptional strength, agility, tactical intelligence, and mental resilience. Displaying remarkable skill, discipline, and competitive spirit, she performed exceptionally well to secure the Bronze Medal in her category.

Her achievement reflects not only her personal dedication and perseverance but also the quality training, encouragement, and support provided by the University’s Department of Sports and coaching staff.

The Chairman, Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Director General, Dean of Academic Affairs, Director–IQAC, all Deans, faculty members, and fellow students congratulated Ms. Saniya Parveen on her commendable performance and for enhancing the University’s reputation at the national level. Her success serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes, particularly young women, to pursue excellence in sports and martial arts.
