Schools Across the State to Remain Closed from November 6 to 11
Raipur (thestates.news) |Chhattisgarh Government’s School Education Department has partially revised the previously announced Diwali holiday schedule for the 2026-27 academic session, extending the break to six days. As per the revised order, government, government-aided and unaided schools, along with D.Ed., B.Ed. and M.Ed. colleges across the state, will remain closed for Diwali from November 6 to 11, 2026.
According to the order issued by the School Education Department on October 16, the academic calendar originally notified on September 21, 2026, had scheduled a five-day Diwali break from November 6 to 10. The state government has now partially amended that order, extending the holiday period by one day to November 11. The revised schedule will provide students, teachers and educational institutions across Chhattisgarh with an additional day off during the Diwali festival.
