Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited the Kunkuri Seva Sadan to assist patients and their families coming to the state capital Raipur from remote areas for treatment. The facility offers comfortable accommodation for patients with various illnesses and their families, along with high-quality health services and guidance. Free ambulance services are also provided for transporting patients to and from the hospital.
During his visit to Kunkuri Seva Sadan, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai interacted with patients and their families to inquire about their well-being, treatment progress, and the facilities provided at the Sadan.
Officials at the Sadan informed the Chief Minister about the progress of patients like seven-year-old Ria, who has seen improvement in her health due to physiotherapy for polio-related disabilities. Ms. Rita Kayatar, who was unable to walk after an accident and came from Kunkuri, has also shown health improvement through continuous physiotherapy at DK Hospital. Additionally, Mr. Neetish Kumar, who underwent leg amputation following a road accident in Bastar, is currently receiving treatment at DKS Hospital, including accommodation and meals at the Sadan.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized the presence of both female and male doctors and medical staff at Kunkuri Seva Sadan, providing services to all patients, including those from remote areas and diverse backgrounds. Named after his constituency, Kunkuri Sadan offers guidance and assistance to patients across the state who initially struggle to secure hospital beds. Sadan officials collaborate with hospital doctors to ensure proper treatment under government schemes. The Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to healthcare services since the beginning of his public career.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has taken significant steps to enhance healthcare in Chhattisgarh, particularly for people traveling from distant regions to Raipur for medical services available at institutions like Ambedkar Medical College, Mekahara, AIIMS, and private medical facilities. Recognizing their needs, he initiated the establishment of Kunkuri Seva Sadan, inaugurated earlier this year as a 50-bed facility. To date, over a thousand people have benefited from the Sadan. Notably, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has shown sensitivity towards medical services throughout his tenure as a Member of Parliament and Union Minister. His leadership has transformed Kunkuri Sadan into a beacon of hope for patients from Jashpur and across the state.
From the outset of his term, Chief Minister Shri Sai has prioritized improving Chhattisgarh’s healthcare system. His initial directive upon taking office was to enhance ambulance services, alongside ensuring the availability of affordable generic medicines in all government hospitals. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma and MLA Shri Purandar Mishra were also present on this occasion.
