Grand Oath-Taking Ceremony of Newly Elected Mayor and Councillors of Ambikapur Municipal Corporation
Raipur (thestates.news) | The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Mayor and Councillors of Ambikapur Municipal Corporation was held today at the PG College Hockey Stadium in Ambikapur. In the esteemed presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Collector Shri Vilas Bhoskar administered the oath to Mayor Smt. Manjusha Bhagat and the councillors in groups of eight.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the ceremony symbolized the people’s trust, democratic values, and commitment to urban development. He said that the municipal administration is dedicated to fulfilling all promises made in the ‘Atal Vishwas Patra’. He expressed confidence that the newly elected Mayor and Councillors would uphold the trust of the people. He further emphasized the need for collective efforts to transform Ambikapur into a clean, smart, and prosperous city.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh extended his best wishes to the newly elected representatives and underscored the importance of transparency and effective governance in the city’s development. The event witnessed the presence of Agriculture Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam, Sarguja MP Shri Chintamani Maharaj, Ambikapur MLA Shri Rajesh Agrawal, Lundra MLA Shri Prabodh Minz, Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission Chairman Shri Vishw Vijay Singh Tomar, along with other public representatives and distinguished citizens.
