107.53 lakh metric tons of paddy procured from farmers in this Kharif season

Raipur (thestates.news)| As a result of State Government’s efficient management under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, paddy lifting for custom milling is going on at an expedited pace and it is now in the final stages. So far, about 105 lakh metric tons of paddy has been lifted, while DO has been issued for the lifting of about 107 lakh metric tons of paddy. This year, 107.53 lakh metric tons of paddy has been procured successfully from the farmers at support price.

It is worth noting that on the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, both the processes of paddy procurement and the lifting of paddy from procurement centers for custom milling was started simultaneously, which significantly reduced the transportation cost. Moreover, the long process of paddy lifting and transportation after the procurement was also simplified, reducing the time consumed.
