Akshay Kumar turns 58

Mumbai (Thestates.news) |Prominent Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar turned 58 on Monday.  Born on September 9, 1967, in Amritsar, Punjab, Akshay worked as a cook in Bangkok and learned martial arts. After returning to Mumbai he worked as martial arts trainer for some time before starting his career in tinsel town with the film Saugandh.

Akshay became a well-known name in Bollywood with his movie Khiladi. He has worked in a good number of successful films like Mohra, Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Dil Toh Pagal Hai. In 2000, ’Hera Pheri’ and its sequel marked an important milestone in Akshay career, showcasing his talent in comedy. .He then won the Filmfare award for the film ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ released in 2004.

Over the years, Akshay continued to deliver hit films like,’Jolly LLB 2’ and ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ .
He continued his success story with films like, ‘Padman’, ‘Gold’, and ‘2.0’ in 2018.
He also tried his hands in production and direction in 2019 with films like ‘Kesari’ and ‘Mission Mangal’.
His upcoming movies are ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, ’Skyforce’ and sequels ‘Jolly LLB 3’ and ‘Hera Pheri 3’. (UNI)
