New Delhi (thestates.news)| Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said in the Lok Sabha that he has written letters to leaders of Opposition in both the Houses Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, that the government was ready for discussion on Manipur issue.

“I have written to leaders of Opposition of both the Houses that I am ready to discuss the Manipur situation in detail. It is my request to the opposition to create a favourable environment in the house for a discussion on this very sensitive issue,” Shah said.

The Home Minister accused the opposition of not having any interest in women’s welfare issues so it was very obvious to raise the slogans. “I have requested opposition to create a favourable atmosphere in the house for a discussion on this very sensitive issue. I am ready for any length of discussion. The government has no fear, whoever wants to discuss Manipur can discuss it,” he said.

The opposition has constantly demanded for discussion on Manipur situation in Parliament and PM Narendra Modi’s statement in the house. Amid uproar by opposition on the fourth day of the monsoon session of Parliament over Manipur issue, Lok Sabha was adjourned till 11 am tomorrow.
Today, the house proceedings began amid pandemonium on Manipur issue as the opposition demanded a detailed discussion on this. Several opposition MPs raised slogans in the house and demanded a statement from Modi on Manipur issue. (UNI)
