Chief Minister transferred Rs 49.43 crore to bank accounts of 57,000 workers through DBT

Raipur (thestates.news) In a welfare move, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday announced the launch of duo schemes of Annapurna Dal-Bhat Center in all the districts of the state and Atal Utkrisht Shiksha Sahayata Yojana to provide free education facilities to the children of registered labor families in the recognized residential schools.
In the program organized at Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya campus, Chief Minister congratulated the labourer and workers on Vishwakarma Day, transferred an amount of Rs 49.43 crore to more than 57,000 registered families under various schemes through DBT to their accounts.
Chief Minister Shri Sai honoured the Shramveers by presenting them Shawls. On this occasion, he released the coffee table book ‘Cradles of Hope’ prepared by the Labour Department. The programme was presided over by Labour Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan.
Chief Minister Shri Sai appreciated the Shramev Jayate App and Shramik Helpline number launched by the Labour Department in the interest of workers. He said that during the first term of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he worked as the Minister of State for Labour at the Centre for around three years. At that time workers received very low pension amounts and later on the initiative of the Prime Minister, this amount was increased to Rs 1000. They were eligible for availing Provident Fund (PF) along with allotment of a universal numbers to the workers. Through this universal number, workers were entitled for various benefits across the country. Previously, when labourers did not claim their PF amounts, the pending sum of Rs 27,000 crore was paid out.
