Assembly election : BJP will win more than 23 seats in UT : J P Nadda

Puducherry, (the states. news) BJP National president J P Nadda on Sunday said the party will win more than 23 seats of the total 30 seats in the ensuing assembly election in the Union Territory.

Addressing a public meeting at the AFT maidan here, J P Nadda said the BJP will provide a corruption-free government and reopen and modernize the Anglo-French textile mill besides the cooperative sugar mill in Puducherry.

He said that fly-overs will come up in Puducherry, Karaikal and Yanam regions under the BJP regime and new Railway project one linking Puducherry and Karaikal will also be taken up.

J P Nadda said that the Union Territory of Puducherry was getting a grant of 70 percent when Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister and later when Mr V Narayanasamy was the Central minister it was reduced.

When Mr Narayanasamy was the Central Minister a loan to the tune of Rs.5000 crore of Jharkhand was waived. But he did nothing for the UT and thus done injustice to it, he charged.    (uni) (media saheb.com)
