Ayodhya Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha: Chhattisgarh CM announces half-day public holiday

Raipur ( |The Chhattisgarh Government has declared a half-day public holiday on January 22 on the occasion of the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai shared this information while addressing the media persons late on Thursday.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted the deep connection between Lord Shri Ram and Chhattisgarh, referring to the region as his maternal home. He stated, “Lord Shri Ram was born in Ayodhya, and his mother, Mata Kaushalya, was born in Chhattisgarh, making him the ‘bhancha’ (nephew) of the state. During his 14-year exile, Lord Shri Ram spent a significant 10 years in the forests of Chhattisgarh, forging a deep connection with its people.”

Expressing the collective joy of Chhattisgarh over the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, Shri Sai announced the half-day holiday until 2:30 pm on January 22. He stated that this would allow the people of Chhattisgarh to celebrate the ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony of Ramlala. Furthermore, he spoke about the festive atmosphere in the state, with temples adorned and various religious programmes underway to mark this auspicious event.
