Among all the Gauthans built in villages under Godhan Nyay Yojana, 3089 Gauthans have become self-supporting. From October 15 to October 31, 2022, about 50 percent of the amount paid in lieu of dung procured in Gauthans has been paid by self-supporting Gauthans. This is a welcome change. The self-supporting Gauthans have so far procured cow dung worth Rs 24.15 crore from their own resources.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel was addressing a program organized at his residence office here today for the transfer of payment against the dung procurement, release of dividend amount to women self-help groups and Gauthan committees and sugarcane incentive amount to the sugarcane-producing farmers. Chief Minister directed the officers to promote the use of vermi compost in Rabi season and to encourage the procurement of Gaumutra in Gauthans.
