Chhattisgarh continues to be one of the leading states with lowest unemployment rate

Raipur (thestates.news) Chhattisgarh is leading among the states having the lowest unemployment rate for the past several months. In the last 3.5 years, the Chhattisgarh government has undertaken several meaningful initiatives and formulated new policies to generate new employment opportunities and balance the urban-rural economy. Works being done under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel have resulted in making Chhattisgarh a leading state in terms of lowest unemployment rate. Chhattisgarh logged an unemployment rate of 0.4 per cent in August this year. Meanwhile, India’s unemployment rate was 8.3 per cent. Chhattisgarh’s unemployment rate stood at 0.8 per cent in July while 0.7 per cent in the month of May. The unemployment rate in Chhattisgarh was the lowest at 0.6 per cent in the month of March-April.

According to the latest data released by CMIE, the unemployment rate in Bihar in the month of August stood at 12.8 per cent while that of Goa at 13.7 per cent, Gujarat at 2.6 per cent, Haryana at 37.3 per cent, Himachal Pradesh at 7.3 per cent, Jammu Kashmir at 32.8 per cent, Karnataka at 3.5 per cent and Madhya Pradesh at 2.6 per cent.
