Chhattisgarh Government to observe International Yoga Day on June 21

Raipur (thestates.news) |  The Chhattisgarh Government will commemorate International Yoga Day on June 21 by organizing yoga camps and various programs across the cities and villages of the state. The theme for this year’s International Yoga Day is ‘Har Ghar-Aangan Yoga’ and the government will focus on holding yoga camps in every block of the state.

 According to Mr. Gyanesh Sharma, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Yoga-Aayog, mass yoga sessions will be organized in various cities and villages to encourage maximum public involvement towards yoga. To commemorate International Yoga Day 2023, arrangements will be made to display the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) in public areas. Along with this, yoga programs will also be organized in Anganwadi, old-age homes, community areas, and all government departments. Training programs will be organized for the celebration of International Yoga Day, and wide publicity will be done to raise public awareness regarding yoga. Banners of the International Day of Yoga will be displayed at public places like hospitals, health and wellness centers, police stations, bus stations, panchayats, municipalities, and municipal corporations.

 Mr. Pankaj Verma, the Additional Director of Directorate of Social Welfare Chhattisgarh, has been appointed as the nodal officer for the preparations, training program, and coordination between various departments, institutions, and bodies of the state government and the Ministry of AYUSH for the International Yoga Day program which will be organized on June 21.
