‘Chhattisgarh Takes a Big Leap in Healthcare’

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the state-of-the-art O-Arm with Artificial Intelligence Navigation Machine for advanced spinal treatment at Shri Narayana Hospital in Raipur today.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that in just 20 months, the state government has laid strong emphasis on strengthening healthcare infrastructure from villages to cities. As a result, health centres across Chhattisgarh have been consistently receiving high-level quality certifications.

Shri Sai highlighted that an MoU has been signed with the Azim Premji Foundation for the establishment of 100-bed hospitals in Dharamjaigarh (Raigarh district) and Ambikapur. He reiterated the government’s commitment to providing affordable and accessible healthcare services to the general public.

Referring to national health initiatives, the Chief Minister said:
“Under the leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Ayushman Bharat Scheme is providing free treatment up to ₹5 lakh. Earlier, farmers and villagers were forced to sell land or take loans for critical medical treatments. Today, with the Ayushman Card, patients can avail free treatment in both large and small hospitals across the country.”

He further added that the Prime Minister is placing special emphasis on strengthening Wellness Centres and expanding the availability of generic medicines, ensuring that people do not face excessive financial burden for treatment.

Congratulating Shri Narayana Hospital for the installation of the advanced AI-enabled O-Arm Navigation Machine, Shri Sai said that this facility would benefit not only patients from Chhattisgarh but also those coming from neighbouring states.

On this occasion, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal also addressed the gathering and extended congratulations to the hospital team for commissioning this cutting-edge technology.
