Raipur (thestates.news) Will inaugurate the state level competitions of the historic Chhattisgarhiya Olympics which is being organised for the first time in the state The Chief Minister lit the lamp and worshipped Chhattisgarh Mahtari and inaugurated the state level competitions Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Umesh Patel, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Housing Board Kuldeep Juneja, Mayor of Municipal Corporation of Raipur Aijaz Dhebar, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Tourism Board Atal Srivastava were also present in the program.
This event includes 14 different types of sports disciplines. Gilli-Danda, Pitthul, Sankhali, Langdi-daud, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Tug of War, Banti, Billas, Fugdi, Gedi daud, Bhavra, 100 metre race, and long jump are just a few of them. All of these are games that are played in villages. As they were becoming obsolete as time passed, people were forgetting about them. This state-level event has nearly 1900 participants from all of the district of the state. These competitions will continue until January 10, 2023.
