Mr.Baghel said that in the Puranas there is a description of Lord Krishna playing around the Kadamba trees. It has immense utility for humans and they have been given an important place in our traditions. The state government is going to start a new chapter for the conservation of nature and environment in Chhattisgarh by developing ‘Krishna Kunj’ from Shri Krishna Janmashtami. It has been named ‘Krishna Kunj’ to connect people with the tree plantation of cultural importance like Banyan, Peepal, Neem and Kadamba and also to its cultural heritage. The Chief Minister said that at present the environmental crisis is deepening. To protect the environment and keep the environment clean and green, future generations have to be made aware of the traditional and cultural importance of trees.
