Chief Minister offered prayers at the ancient Shiva temple of Baikunthpur

Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today prayed for the prosperity of the people of the state by offering prayers at the ancient temple of Lord Shiva at Prema Bagh in Baikunthpur. Prahlad Mishra, the priest of the temple, told that this is a very ancient temple, which was built in the year 1921 by the then Maharaja’s Diwan in the memory of his wife Prema Devi. Every Monday special worship is performed by the devotees here. Prema Bagh is also located here in the memory of Prema Devi. The Hanuman temple in this complex is also the faith or center of the townspeople. The Chief Minister took blessings from Mahant Tulsi Puri, the 88-year-old veteran of the temple and instructed the collector to give him a motorized tricycle. Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, MP Jyotsna Charandas Mahant, Parliamentary Secretary Ambika Singhdeo and MLA Gulab Kamro were present on the occasion. The representatives of Gau Raksha Vahini Baikunthpur in the temple premises met the Chief Minister and informed him about the works of the Roti Bank vehicle operated by the Vahini. The Chief Minister appreciated his work.
