Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel paid floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar—the chief architect of Indian Constitution, first Law and Justice Minister of independent India and social reformer—on his birth anniversary. Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahriya and Industries Minister Kawasi Lakhma were also present on this occasion.
Recalling the invaluable contribution of Babasaheb Ambedkar, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Dr. Ambedkar was multi-faceted personality and the chairman of the drafting committee of the Indian Constitution, who gave India its strongest pillar of strength—our sacred Constitution.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Babasaheb fought for the eradication of caste discrimination. He also advocated for the rights of laborers and women. Following the path shown by Babasaheb, the state government is running several schemes for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society. He said that millions of followers of Babasaheb all over the country including Chhattisgarh celebrate his birth anniversary with enthusiasm and reverence. His contribution towards the country is unforgettable.
