Raipur (thestates.news)| Chief Minister said that we commenced Bhent-Mulaqat campaign from May 4, visited various locations of the state including Surguja, Bastar and other places including Mohla-Manpur, and now we have arrived here to meet you. Mr. Baghel said- on our way here, we could smell the burning of hay. The practice of hay burning is not good, it causes pollution. We are half way through the December month but still the temperature has not dropped as it should in winter season. It is due to the carbon emissions and rising pollution.
There is no use in burning hay. The pollution caused by this practice is one of the causes of Global warming. This is the reason why we want you to donate hay to gauthans. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that we waived off the loans of the farmers as soon as the government was formed. Loans of more than 19 lakh farmers worth Rs 9.5 thousand crore were waived off. We have fulfilled our promises to the farmers, despite the losses. Procured paddy for Rs 25 hundred per quintal.
Central government warned us saying if we give even one rupee more than the support price to the farmers, paddy would not be taken from the state for central pool, but we still remained firm on our decision and fulfilled our promise.
