Chief Minister’s Helicopter Lands in Kanakbira Village of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh District
Heartfelt Dialogue with Villagers: Construction of Culvert on Stream, Mangal Bhavan, Girls’ Hostel and Panchayat Bhavan announced

Under the concluding phase of the Sushasan Tihar, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s helicopter landed today in Kanakbira village of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district. Near the Pre-Matric Boys’ Hostel campus, Chief Minister Shri Sai held a public ‘Chaupal’ under a blooming Gulmohar tree and interacted warmly with local villagers while reviewing the status of various schemes. “It is my privilege to meet you all today,” he said, “Being among you feels like being with family.”
Explaining the significance of the ‘Sushasan Tihar’, Chief Minister Sai said, “In the first phase, we collected applications, in the second phase we acted upon them, and now, in the third phase, the government itself has reached your village. Over the past one and a half years, we have worked in the interest of the people. This campaign is both our report card and an opportunity to assess the implementation of government schemes on the ground. Along with me, ministers, MPs, MLAs, the Chief Secretary, Principal Secretaries and other senior officials are also actively participating in this initiative.”
Addressing the villagers, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that immediately after taking the oath, his government, under the guarantee of Prime Minister Modi, approved 18 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the cabinet. “Every eligible person in need will receive housing,” he asserted, “Even those listed under ‘Awas Plus’ will be covered.” Referring to the fulfilment of the promise made to farmers, he said, “We procured paddy at Rs 3,100 per quintal, up to 21 quintals per acre.”
He further stated that more than 70 lakh women have received direct financial support through Mahtari Vandan Yojana, ushering in a new era of economic empowerment and women’s advancement. “Those who are still left out will also be included,” he assured. The collection rate for tendupatta has been increased from Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,500. Ramlala Darshan Yojana has been launched to facilitate pilgrimages to Ayodhya for eligible beneficiaries, and Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana has been resumed, allowing families to visit pilgrimage sites of their choice.
Chief Minister informed that since 24 April, Atal Digital Seva Kendras have been operational in gram panchayats, providing villagers with access to banking and other services locally. Presently, these centres are active in 1,460 panchayats. “Our government is closing all avenues of corruption through the use of technology,” he said. The process of mutation along with land registry has been simplified. Irregularities in PSC recruitments have been investigated and appropriate action has been taken, with a commitment to conduct future recruitments in a transparent and impartial manner.
Reality Check of Schemes Through Direct Dialogue
During his visit to Kanakbira, Chief Minister Shri Sai spoke to villagers in Chhattisgarhi, personally seeking feedback from beneficiaries regarding electricity supply, ration distribution, and the disbursement of funds under Mahtari Vandan Yojana. He also inquired about the drinking water supply under Jal Jeevan Mission, and encouraged farmers to cultivate profitable crops such as maize, urad, and moong alongside paddy.
Announcements for Mangal Bhavan, Girls’ Hostel and Panchayat Bhavan
During the Chaupal, Chief Minister Shri Sai announced the construction of a culvert on the Nargi-Khol-Lat stream, a function hall (Mangal Bhavan) and a girls’ hostel in Kanakbira, and a new panchayat building in Godam village.
Chief Minister invited former MLA to sit beside him
During the Chaupal at Kanakbira, Chief Minister noticed former MLA Shri Shamsher Singh sitting on the ground. In a warm gesture, Shri Sai invited him to sit beside him on a chair. Shri Singh shared that he is currently engaged in community service and temple construction activities in the region.
Chief Minister Presents His ‘Safa’ to 85-Year-Old Bhagirathi Sahu
Among those present was 85-year-old Shri Bhagirathi Sahu, who had reached the venue with the aid of a walking stick and listened attentively to the Chief Minister. As a mark of respect, Chief Minister Shri Sai warmly greeted him and draped his own safa (scarf) around Shri Sahu’s neck while departing.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai also offered prayers at the Durga Temple in Kanakbira and wished for prosperity, peace, and good health for all residents of Chhattisgarh. Reassuring the villagers, he said, “Chattisgarh Government stands firmly with every person in need. Public welfare remains our highest priority.”
