New Delhi (thestates.news)| Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday spoke to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu over phone, and took stock of the situation arising out of cloudbursts in the state. According to Home Ministry sources, Shah assured the Chief Minister of all possible assistance from the Central Government, including deployment of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
On the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, cloudbursts and flash floods wreaked havoc across Himachal Pradesh, leading to significant destruction in Shimla, Mandi, and Kullu districts. The incident has left one dead and at least 45 missing. (UNI)
