CM calls for public participation in effort to make Raipur clean and beautiful

Raipur ( ) Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said in his address to the inaugural session of National Urban Innovation workshop held on Saturday that participation of every citizen of the state is important for development of Raipur city as a smart city. In this daylong workshop, heads of urban development bodies from country and abroad participated and shared their views and suggestions on development of Raipur city. Baghel felicitated the sanitation workers for their contribution in keeping Raipur city clean. Mayor, Raipur Municipal Corporation Pramod Dubey presided over the programme. Baghel said in his address that Raipur city is marching ahead on the path of development as a ‘smart city’ at an accelerated pace. Participation of citizens is necessary for establishing the identity of the city as clean, beautiful and well-organized. Every citizen should pledge to not litter
around and to keep the surroundings clean. Also, regular cleaning of drainage sustem and roads should be ensured.
