Raipur (thestates.news) Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has congratulated and extended his wishes to the residents of the state on occasion of International Literacy Day observed on September 8th. In his message, Mr Sai said that literacy is directly related to development. Literacy is the basic foundation of equality, peace and development in society. International Literacy Day is a day dedicated to highlighting the importance of literacy and knowledge of alphabets.
“This is a day to take a pledge to spread happiness and prosperity in the society with the light of knowledge, said Shri Sai. Chief Minister emphasized that achieving literacy requires both personal interest and collective effort. He stated that extensive public participation is essential for reaching this goal. On International Literacy Day, the Chief Minister urged the people of the state to actively engage in the program and work towards lifelong education, including digital literacy, to make Chhattisgarh fully literate.
Shri Sai urged all students in schools and colleges to join the noble effort of promoting literacy. He emphasized the importance of achieving new milestones in literacy to drive development in the state.
