CM extends greetings on Engineers’ Day

Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has extended warm greetings and best wishes to all engineers on Engineers’ Day. In his message, he stated that Engineers’ Day, celebrated annually on September 15, marks the birth anniversary of one of India’s greatest engineers and Bharat Ratna awardee, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.

Shri Sai praised Sir Visvesvaraya for his visionary contributions, which propelled India’s engineering sector to new heights. He highlighted that Sir Visvesvaraya is fondly remembered as the “Vishwakarma of modern India.” One of his remarkable engineering feats is the Krishna Raja Sagar Dam in Mysore. This dam not only revolutionised irrigation but also spurred industrial growth, playing a pivotal role in the development of Karnataka.

The Chief Minister emphasised the critical role engineers play in nation-building, stating that with their foresight and expertise, engineers can shape the development of a state. He added that Sir Visvesvaraya’s dedication and commitment serve as a source of inspiration for all.
