Book contains everything you need to know about Chhattisgarh’s beloved dish
Raipur (thestates.news)| Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday launched Dr. Gitesh Kumar Amrohit’s book “Basi”, at his residence office here. Dr. Amrohit informed the Chief Minister that “Basi” is an integral part of Chhattisgarh’s folk culture. Last year, ‘Bore Basi Diwas’ was celebrated with great enthusiasm not only throughout the state but also in foreign countries. This event inspired him to write a book on Basi.
This book contains various information related to Basi, including its methods of preparation, nutritional value, the benefits of its consumption for various diseases, its importance in Chhattisgarh’s folklife, and other special features. Information about last year’s ‘Bore Basi Diwas’ celebrations in foreign countries is also given in the book.
Chief Minister Shri Baghel congratulated Dr. Gitesh Amrohit on the publication of the book. Shri Akash Maheshwari, Shri Ashish Raj Singh, and other people were also present.
