Residents of remote areas to gain access to emergency health facilities
Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai flagged off five ambulances, a free-of-cost service for the needy in the Pandariya Assembly Constituency, from the Chief Minister’s residence premises in Raipur on Wednesday. This increases the number of ambulances operated by Bhawna Samaj Seva Sansthan to eight. The initiative ensures round-the-clock emergency services for needy patients in the area.
Expressing his happiness, Chief Minister Shri Sai stated “Today is a very joyful day. Thanks to the efforts of MLA Smt. Bhawna Bohra, we have been able to fulfill another promise. The free ambulance service will enhance healthcare facilities and emergency response in Indori, Pandariya, Pandatarai, Dullapur, and Kunda areas within the Pandariya Assembly Constituency. The Bhawna Samaj Seva Sansthan will manage the operation of these ambulances.”
He added that this service will provide quick assistance to patients during emergencies and called upon voluntary organizations to contribute to such public welfare initiatives. He recalled the commitment made during the assembly elections in the “Bhawna Bohra Ki Guarantee” service resolution letter (seva sankalp patra) to launch the free ambulance service, aiming to realize the vision of a ‘healthy and prosperous Pandariya’. He expressed gratitude to all for the support received in fulfilling this commitment.
It is worth mentioning that three free ambulance services are already operational in Ranvirpur, Kui-Kukdur tribal and forest area, benefiting thousands of families. During emergencies, these ambulances have played an essential role in transporting patients between their homes and hospitals, ensuring they receive timely medical care. Besides, many patients have benefitted from these ambulances by being able to reach hospitals in Raipur and other districts for better treatment facilities. Along with this, a free mobile health path lab and three free bus services for college girls commuting between home and college, which were previously operational, are being provided.
Cabinet Ministers Shri Brijmohan Agrawal, Shri Ramvichar Netam, Shri Kedar Kashyap, and MLA Shri Purandar Mishra were also present.
