CM Vishnu Deo Sai distributes Battery-Operated Tricycles to Differently-Abled Individuals at Jandarshan Program

Receiving Motorized Tricycles at hands of Chief Minister brought smiles on the faces of Divyang beneficiaries

Raipur (thestates.news) | the ‘Jandarshan’ program held in CM House today, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai distributed battery-operated motorized tricycles to three Divyang (differently-abled) individuals, under the schemes of Social Welfare Department. On this occasion, Komal Lahare, Sana Parveen, and Thagia Sahu expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister.

Previously, 18-year-old Sana Parveen from Chaurasia Colony in Raipur, Komal Lahare from Serikhedi village, and Thagia Sahu from Kachna village in Dhamtari district had to rely on their family members and other people for transportation.  These motorized tricycles will make it more convenient for these beneficiaries to move within and outside their villages and complete their tasks independently.

Komal Lahare mentioned that she previously owned a tricycle, which is now broken beyond repair. She was delighted to receive battery-operated tricycle from the Chief Minister at today’s Jandarshan program. She said that the motorized tricycle will make her life easier and help her focus on her business, thereby improving her economic condition. She sustains her livelihood by selling potatoes and onions in Serikhedi village.

The Social Welfare Department has provided automatic tricycles to the aforementioned three individuals, who have over 80 percent disability, to facilitate their daily activities and enable them to sustain their livelihoods through self-employment.
