India has the largest youth population in the world, and their contribution will be pivotal in transforming India into a developed nation by the year 2047.”
Chief Minister further said that Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is the world’s largest student organisation, and it is a matter of pride that this three-day National Council Meeting is being hosted on the soil of Chhattisgarh. “Life is incomplete without education. Education is the cornerstone of development,” he said. Highlighting educational progress in the state, he shared that all premier institutions are now present in Chhattisgarh. Today, students from the state are studying at national institutions like IIT, AIIMS, IIIT, and the National Law University.
Chief Minister added that the New Education Policy has been implemented in Chhattisgarh, which is aligning education with employment opportunities. He mentioned “Prayas,” an institution working to educate school children in the state. A significant number of students from Prayas have been succeeding in competitive examinations.
Shri Sai also informed that a Tribal Youth Hostel has been established in New Delhi for those preparing for civil services and similar examinations. “We have increased the capacity of this Tribal Youth Hostel to 200 seats. Nalanda campuses are being developed across the state to provide students with a peaceful environment for studying,” he added. Efforts have been initiated to enable students to study medicine in Hindi. At the primary level, children are being taught in their mother tongues like Gondi and Halbi.
Speaking of economic development, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy is being widely appreciated across the country. “Under this new policy, we are not only attracting investments but also creating ample employment opportunities for the youth,” he said. Semiconductor chip manufacturing and AI data centre projects have commenced in the state, creating new job prospects.
“Our government has handed over the investigation of corruption in the PSC (Public Service Commission) to the CBI. Protecting the future of the youth is our highest priority,” Chief Minister asserted.
Referring to the “Sushasan Tihar” (Good Governance Festival), he said that the government is actively seeking public feedback on its work over the past one and a half years. “We are currently in the third phase of Sushasan Tihar, during which we are touring the entire state. Applications received in the first phase were resolved by officials in the second phase, and in this third phase, we are directly engaging with the public,” he explained.
Chief Minister added that the government has fulfilled most of the guarantees made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “We have delivered on the promise of providing houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Seventy lakh mothers and sisters are receiving benefits under the Mahtari Vandan scheme,” he said.
Sharing real-life stories, Shri Sai mentioned, “During Sushasan Tihar in Narayanpur, a woman happily told me that she had purchased a sewing machine using the Mahtari Vandan funds, through which she is now earning Rs. 4,000 to 5,000 a month. Another woman shared that she has started a grocery store and is earning Rs. 2,000 to 3,000 monthly from it.”
Chhattisgarh is the first state in India to establish a Department of Good Governance and Convergence. “All government work is now being carried out with complete transparency.
