Chief Minister urges the people to plant trees in honour of their mothers under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” Campaign
Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai extended his greetings to the people of Chhattisgarh on the occasion of ‘Hareli Tihar’. In his message, Shri Sai emphasized that the culture of Chhattisgarh is prominently reflected in its festivals. Hareli, a folk festival deeply embedded in the lives of the people, is the first agricultural festival of the region. On this day, farming tools are worshipped with hopes for a good harvest.
Shri Sai highlighted that ‘Hareli Tihar’ is a festival in which people express their gratitude to Mother Earth for her sustenance. He urged the people to show their appreciation by both worshipping Mother Earth and participating in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, which encourages planting a tree in honour of one’s mother. The Chief Minister expressed his hope that Hareli Tihar brings happiness and prosperity to the lives of the people of Chhattisgarh.
