Brave children will be honored at Pahuna, the Chief Minister’s residence in the capital Raipur. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s message will be broadcast in all registered childcare institutions across the state. Besides, a digital exhibition based on Veer Bal Diwas, including an audio-visual screening produced by the Union Ministry of Culture, will be organized. Winners of the Veer Bal competition will also be felicitated during the celebrations.

It is worth mentioning that Veer Bal Diwas, commemorating the supreme sacrifice and courage of the sons of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, will be observed nationwide on December 26, including in Chhattisgarh. Various activities are planned at the district level, Nagar Palika, ward, block, and gram panchayat levels in the state to mark this occasion. The objective of these activities is to instill and reinforce values and contributions towards nation-building among the youth, as well as the general public. To achieve this goal, the experiences of freedom fighters and former recipients of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) are being shared.

The registration and activities of adolescent girls and boys have been uploaded on the My Bharat Portal on December 22 and 23. During this, an oath-taking ceremony for Viksit Bharat and a ‘Veer Bal’ (brave child) competition were organized. The competition included painting, reading (recitation), singing, poetry, and essay contests focused on the theme of bravery. The winning participants in these competitions will be honoured and rewarded on Veer Bal Diwas. The Women and Child Development Department, Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Panchayat, Higher Education, and Urban Administration Department have been designated as nodal agencies for organizing Veer Bal Diwas, with support from volunteers of NYK, NSS, and NCC in mobilization activities.
